Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Road ITAO Mid Sussex Rescue

On Wednesday afternoon, May 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road in the vicinity of the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad. It was reported to be single vehicle accident with possible minor injuries.

Emergency response crews included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, the Delaware State Fire Police and as well as the Delaware State Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient and vehicle stabilization, where necessary, as with traffic and scene mitigation, as well as providing assistance get the occupants out of the vehicle.

It appears that silver Hyundai was traveling south on Indian Mission Road and left the roadway for an unknown reason, traveling down an embankment and into a wooden area. The occupants of the vehicle did require additional medical observation.

Emergency response units from Indian River were limited to Rescue 80.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
