Nature: Structure Fire

Early Wednesday, December 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire at Dollar Tree on Plaza Drive in Long Neck. It was reported to be an odor being emitted from the HVAC and a light haze throughout the building.

Emergency response crews from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included building evaluation and search for the source or origin, evaluation of the electrical panel boxes and HVAC air handlers, etc. The building was not occupied at the arrival time of emergency apparatus.

All units were permitted to return to quarters after the evaluation.
