Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Hollymount Rd and Phillips Branch Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Saturday evening, November 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Hollymount Road near Phillips Branch Road.  It was reported to involve a vehicle overturning and this was a second fire alarm in the district.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics, the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It appears that a Honda Civic compact car left the roadway, striking the guardrail and continue traveling into the yard area.  The Delaware State Police Aviation unit was cancelled from this incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
