On Wednesday morning, November 24^th, the Indian River (80), Bethany Beach (70), Sussex County Paramedics, DNREC – Marine Police, United States Coast Guard – Indian River Inlet Squad, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2 were alerted to assist the Millville (84) Volunteer Fire Company with a water rescue incident on Peaceful Lane in the Solitude development north of Millville. 

It was reported to be a male subject approximately 10’ from shore in the water for an unknown reason. 

Initial arriving units from Millville VFC (Command 84 and Ambulance C-84) determined the subject had been rescued from the water by nearby civilians in the area and brought to shore.  Immediate medical attention was offered by responding personnel and transported to nearby medical facilities.

All units from Indian River were cancelled while responding to the incident.
