Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS

On Friday afternoon, April 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Loop Drive in the Pot Nets Creekside development off of Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a vehicle into a residential structure.

 

Emergency response units included Engine #80-5 and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police

 

Emergency response crew assignments included to assist with patient stabilization, where needed, and to initiative vehicle stabilization and as well as assessment of the residential structure for damage.

 

It appears that a Ford conversion van was traveling north on Long Neck Road and failed to navigate the roadway, traveling through a field, residential front yard, striking a couple of split rail fences, and hitting a residential structure on Westwind Drive.

 

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
