Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 24504 Indian Mission Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday evening, November 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics, the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, and the Delaware State Police Trooper 2 Aviation unit.  It was reported to be a single vehicle off the roadway into a tree.

Emergency response units from Indian River Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization if needed, traffic control, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, debris recovery where needed and incident mitigation.

It appears at the blue Hyundai Tucson was traveling on Indian Mission Road and left the roadway for an unknown reason.  There was not any occupant entrapment associated with the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.  The Delaware State Police Aviation Unit was cancelled.

The occupant was transported to nearby medical facilities.
