Indian River Facility Initiatives Progress Update – 03/29/2014 As the spring season progresses, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company facility enhancement initiatives begin to illustrate progress as well. Our various buildings and grounds initiatives have progressed with the previously identified acquisition of adjoining parcels in Oak Orchard & Long Neck; demolition and removal of residential structures from these adjoining parcels; as well as various other objectives. Recently, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company approved the acquisition and construction of an additional company marquee and signage for the Long Neck facility on Banks Road. Illustrated herewith are renditions of the signage and photographs of the construction progress. This signage will enhance our various community initiatives with fire prevention messages and safety slogans as well as promoting public service announcements, fire company community functions, and general awareness items. This signage will have remote programming accessibility, LED interior lighting for enhanced illuminations, and multiple message lines with LED lighting display panels. The design, artwork, and construction is being coordinated by Rogers Sign Company in Milton, Delaware - http://www.rogerssign.com/ Identified below are illustrations of the completed initiatives: Acquisitions: (1) Shugard Parcels - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery?id=1181 (2) Spicer / Dodd Parcels - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery?id=1163 Demolitions: (1) Coleman Parcels - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery?id=1448&ss=1 (2) Shugard Parcel - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery?id=1436&ss=1 Additions: (1) Walk-in Refrigerator / Freezer Addition - http://www.irvfc.com/gallery?id=1340&ss=1 |
