Indian River Offers Apparatus Familiarization to Coaling Fire Department

Coaling, Alabama

On Sunday, March 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company offered apparatus familiarization training to the Coaling Fire Department Indian River’s Chief Engineer Jim Wagner and Chief Steven Deery offered an instructional overview with operational advice with respect to newly acquired fire engine from Indian River.

Indian River was able to assist Coaling with helpful tips and pointers with respect this unit and encouraged one-on-one dialogue and discussion to become better acquainted with the apparatus. The Coaling Fire Department has 50% of their membership in attendance for these activities.

Chief Engineer Wagner reviewed the overall truck, the maintenance and operational highlights, as well as offering hands-on illustrations to enhance awareness. There were question and answer periods as well as individualized assistance.

The Coaling Fire Department extended exceptional hospitality towards Indian River during this time period which ended with an afternoon luncheon.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company extends our best wishes to Coaling, their firefighters, and their apparatus.
