Nature: Vandalism / Property Destruction

Location: Oak Orchard Road & Delaware Avenue – Oak Orchard

On Thursday, October 21^st at approximately 8 AM, two persons were seen intentionally removing the traffic and roadway signage at the corner of Oak Orchard Road and Delaware Avenue.

The subjects intentionally vandalized and removed the traffic control device and then walked off on Delaware Avenue toward Mercer Avenue.  Shortly thereafter, a vehicle did strike the fallen signage while traversing down Oak Orchard Road.

Illustrated herewith is a photograph of the two subjects who were supposedly awaiting for the school bus.  

One of the subjects resides in the Captains Grant development and the other subject is known to frequent the Delaware Oyster Farm development off Basin Road and Forest Avenue.

The Delaware Department of Transportation was notified to reinstall the damaged signage.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
