Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: Rosedale Rd and River Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday, October 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Rosedale Road and River Road.  It was reported to be single vehicle incident.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-3 and #80-1 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident stabilization, fire suppression activities, vehicle stabilization, and traffic control.  A water can was utilized to control incident.

It appears that an older style Chevrolet Pick-Up experience a smoke condition emitting from the steering column of the occupant compartment.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
