Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS

On Thursday afternoon, February 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Long Neck Road, Indian Mission Road and John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be two vehicles with possible minor injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with vehicle stabilization and patient stabilization, traffic control and incident mitigation.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance pending arrival of the Delaware State Police.

It appears that a Ford Probe was traveling eastbound on John J. Williams Hihgway and a white Dodge RAM Pick-up was traveling westbound attempting to turn on Long Neck Road when both vehicles collided.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
