Address: 1400 Coastal Hwy Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

On Tuesday morning, February 11th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a structure fire on Coastal Highway in Dewey Beach near or at the Naleu Restaurant.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Small fire breaks out at Dewey Beach Restaurant

A fire at Nalu Restaurant in Dewey Beach could have been much worse, but sprinklers kept damage to a minimum when the blaze broke out Tuesday morning according to fire investigators.

The fire was contained to a pump room on the first floor of the building on Route One.

Firefighters from Indian River, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach had the blaze under control quickly, and no injuries were reported.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
