Nature: Engine #80-2 Departs for Coaling, Alabama

Engine #80-2 was Indian River’s last yellow fire engine!

As of February 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has completed its transition back to red fire apparatus servicing the fire district.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that the transfer of Engine #80-2 from the Oak Orchard, Sussex County, Delaware facility to the Coaling, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama facility has commenced.  The Coaling Fire Protection District will be the proud owners of this 1992 Spartan 4-Guys Pumper.

Engine #80-2 was being phased out of service with the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.  Over the past few weeks, the general membership has been preparing this piece of apparatus for the trip to its new location in Coaling.

Illustrated herewith are various photographs during these preparations.
