Nature: Multi Residential Fire

Location: On Chatham Street

ITAO:  17208 Chatham St., Villages of Five Points, DE 19958

 

On Sunday morning, September 26th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85), Rehoboth Beach (86), and Bethany Beach (70) fire companies were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a working multi-residential structure fire on Chatham Street in the Villages of Five Points.  It was reported that to be multi- residential structure with heavy fire from the third floor.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with fire suppression, resources to the manpower pool and assistance with incident mitigation when needed.

Many neighboring fire companies (Slaughter Beach (89), Millville (84), and Millsboro (83)) were alerted to provide standby cover up assignments for the companies that were onscene at the Lewes location.
