Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday, September 11^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with both vehicles in the roadway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Chief 80-15, Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, as well as incident mitigation. 

It appears that black BMW sedan and KIA Sorento SUV collided when the KIA attempted to access Long Neck Road.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with Long Neck Road being closures for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
