Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Long Neck Rd and Lingo Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning, September 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Lingo Lane.  It was reported to be a single vehicle incident. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident migration.  Rescue 80 was cancelled while responding to the incident.

It appears that a single vehicle - maroon Nissan sedan collided with a sign and sign post in the area of Long Neck Road and Lingo Lane.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
