Nature: Pre-arranged Standby Assignment – Funeral Detail – Wilmington Manor Fire Company

Location: New Castle County

On Thursday, September 2nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided a designated standby crew to permit the Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company to coordinate and conduct funeral arrangements for one of their own.  These assignments included a fully staffed aerial (tower) truck assignment and a fire police unit from Indian River as well as a Engine crew from Seaford Volunteer Fire Company.

A standby crew consists of a minimum number of firefighters, fully equipped and trained, SHALL be on standby outside the designated location to provide assistance or perform rapid response, if needed.
