Nature: Pole Fire

On Wednesday evening, January 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a pole fire incident on Forest Drive in Oak Orchard.

Emergency response units included Engine 80-1 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard facility as the Delaware State Fire Police, and utility company. All other apparatus response was limited based upon the nature of the call.

Emergency response crews identified the pole number to the emergency operations center and stood by pending elimination of the concern via fuse or arrival of the utility company.

The fuse eliminated the hazard prior to the arrival of the utility company.
