Nature: Medical Emergency

Location: Outrigger Cove, Pot Nets Lakeside

On Tuesday, July 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist with a medical emergency from Outrigger Cove and establish a landing zone for the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit - Trooper #2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 and Chief #80-15 from the Long Neck facility and Utility #80-11 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control along Banks Road and establishment of a landing zone at Indian River’s Long Neck Station on Banks Road.

The Delaware Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Banks Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police Aviation Unit transported the priority medical patient to Christiana Hospital near Newark, Delaware.
