Holly Lake Campgrounds Hosts Risk Reduction Initiative

On Saturday, June 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to coordinate a Community Risk Reduction Initiative to highlight Fire Safety, Fire Prevention, Wildfire Risk Reduction, Summer Safety Tips, Campfire Safety Tips, Aerial Truck Display, and Campground Safety Tip discussions. This First Responder Presentation was hosted by Holly Lake  Campgrounds - https://hollylakecampsites.com/ with Indian River's Fire Prevention Cohort.

The Fire Prevention Cohort from Indian River provided various discussions for fire prevention and fire safety, as well as a fire prevention booth with educational and informational hand-outs for topics which included but not limited to:

Approximately 223 persons attended the day’s events which included great discussion and dialogue regarding the aforementioned topics as well as firefighter recruitment and retention possibilities.
