Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 28331 Bowden St Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Saturday morning, June 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Bowden Street in Oak Orchard.  It was reported to be an incident involving a golf cart.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper #2).

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient care, if needed, traffic control where needed, and incident mitigation.  Engine #80-1 and the aviation unit were cancelled while responding to the incident location.

It appears that a person fell off a golf cart when traveling in the area of Bowden Street in Oak Orchard.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
