Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Thursday morning, June 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Millsboro (83) Emergency Medical Service Units were alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road involving two vehicles.  It was reported to be possibly two persons desiring medical observations.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  While responding to the incident location, Engine #80-1 was redirected to another emergency within the fire district.   

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, as well as incident mitigation. 

It appears that a white Ford pick-up was north on the Long Neck Road shoulder attempting to turn left into a private driveway or u-turn when a white Nissan Sentra also traveling north on Long Neck Road collided with the rear of the pick-up truck for an unknown reason. 

The Millsboro (83) EMS units provided medical observations to the vehicle occupants.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
