Ruth Briggs King Host Meet & Greet to Address Drainage Items On Wednesday, October 9th, State Representative Ruth Briggs-King hosted a Community Meet & Greet Style Meeting to address the drainage issues and concerns within the Oak Orchard, Long Neck and surrounding areas. Rep. Ruth Briggs King, R-Georgetown, talked with attendees at the public meeting to discuss 37th District residents’ flooding and drainage concerns. Officials from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, the Delaware Department of Transportation and the Sussex Conservation District were on hand to answer questions about flooding problems residents have experienced over the years in the Oak Orchard and Long Neck areas. State Senator Gerald Hocker, R-Ocean View, was in attendance and assisted Rep. Briggs with the discussion and has continued to pledge his support.
