Nature: Medical Emergency (Traumatic Injuries) – Washdown Incident

Address:  Bay Farm Road, Millsboro

Late Saturday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a washdown incident involving a mishap with a moped or scooter type vehicle.

Emergency response units from Indian River included engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included fluid and debris recovery from a traffic incident involving a moped (scooter) type vehicle.   Engine #80-1 utilized stay dry absorbent to recovery the fluids from the scooter.

It appears a moped (scooter) mishap resulted in the need for recovery of fluid and miscellaneous debris from the roadway while the occupant of the scooter needed pre-hospital emergency medical attention.  

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
