Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 26236 Bayside Dr., Pot Nets Coveside, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday, May 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire on Bayside Drive in the Pot Nets Coveside development.  It was reported as a mulch fire that spread into the residential structure's siding and eaves.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, as was as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included check for extension into the eaves and walls of the structure because much of the corner’s siding has melted or burned as a part of the incident.

It appears that the mulch ignited and spread into the siding and eaves of the manufactured home residence.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

There were not reported injuries associated with the incident.
