First Responder Appreciation Event & Demo – Massey’s LandingOn Saturday, May 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to attend the First Responder Appreciation Weekend hosted by Massey’s Landing https://www.masseyslanding.com/events. This event and demo is intended provide an opportunity to honor first responders for their contributions, sacrifices, and dedication to public service as well as advancing fire prevention and overall safety awareness.The Fire Prevention Cohort from Indian River provided a vessel demonstration, utility truck demonstration, chief's vehicle demonstration, as well as a fire prevention booth with educational and informational hand-outs for the participating campers.Indian River’s Marine Unit #1, Utility 80-8, and Chief's vehicle were made available for presentation and dialogue.Illustrated herewith are photographs of the event.Indian River hereby expresses its appreciation to Massey's Landing for hosting such an event. |
