Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 21847 Waterview Rd., Lewes, DE 19958

On Tuesday, April 27^th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a structure fire on Waterview Road.  It was original reported to be a vehicle fire and then upgraded to a structure fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments from Indian River included:

• Tanker 80 to the scene and stage pending assignment; and

• Engine #80-3 redirected to standby assignment at Station #2

Tanker 80 was then released from the scene and returned to quarters.

It appears that a recreational RV type camper caught fire with exposures to playground equipment and the residential structure. The Rehoboth Beach and Lewes fire pursued fire suppression and exposure protection activities.
