Congratulatory Comments for Chase Holden - Receives Delaware EMT Certification
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to offer these congratulatory comments to recognize Chase Holden for recently completing the Delaware Emergency Medical Technician coursework requirements and passing the Delaware EMT Certification requirements. The next objective for Chase is pursuing his National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification.
In January 2021, Chase was participated in Indian River’s Recruitment & Retention Video to spotlight the potential of joining Delaware’s volunteer fire service.
Chase joined the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in 2017 as a junior volunteer firefighter and pursued his designated training requirements to obtain full membership status as an Active firefighter immediately thereafter. Currently, Chase is employed full-time with the Selbyville (88) Fire Department and part-time with the Millsboro (83) Volunteer Fire Company as a firefighter/driver while pursuing his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and continues to volunteer with the Indian River (80) Volunteer Fire Company.
Chase pursued this desired training via the Delaware State Fire School which provides the Delaware EMT course that meets the National EMS Education Standards and published guidelines. The course curriculum provides the student with in-depth knowledge and skill-based training to appropriately assess, stabilize, monitor, and transport pre-hospital patients. Students are required to spend time in a clinical setting with actual time based upon student progress. Students successfully completing this course and the NREMT practical examination may sit for the National Registry exam, which is the cognitive examination approved by the State for EMT certification.
Chase successfully completed the certification requirements after completing his EMT coursework earlier in the month of April 2021.
Congratulations and best wishes with your aspirations to be firefighter / EMT.
