Nature: Demolition of Indian River’s Oak Orchard Rental Property

Location: Station #1 – Shugard Property – Oak Orchard Road

On Monday, September 16th and the week thereafter, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company commenced with the demolition and eradication of the Shugard Property adjacent to the Oak Orchard facility. This property and parcel was acquired with the anticipation of future facility expansion for additional parking or needed corporate administrative offices.

Indian River has retained the services of a private contractor, DGM, Inc. of Rehoboth Beach to perform the demolition activities.

It is currently anticipated that this parcel will be utilized for needed parking at the current time.
