Location: Bakers Channel in The Rehoboth Bay
 

 

On Thursday, April 22nd, the Indian River (80), Rehoboth Beach (86) and Millville (84) volunteer fire companies were alerted to assist two mariners in distress with a water rescue incident.  It was reported to be vessel with two mariners in distress after running aground in the area of (ITAO) of Bakers Channel in the Rehoboth Bay.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Brush 80-0 with 80 Marine 2 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and other support apparatus.

Emergency response units from Indian River were assigned to launch from the Massey’s Landing Public Boat.  The Rehoboth Beach and Millville marine units were cancelled while responding to the incident location.

All responding units that launched were assigned to respond to the target area for assistance with the distressed mariners.

Responding mutual aid entities were able to provide assistance along with Tow Boat US.
