Saturday August 3, 2013 Nature: Firefighter Appreciation Activities Address: Orioles Park @ Camden Yards – Baltimore, MD On Saturday August 3rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted a firefighter appreciation event and traveled to Baltimore Inner Harbor for a day of festivities and to catch an Orioles game. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted the event to highlight our appreciation for family and friends that volunteer or assist with the volunteer firefighter service. The event provided travel, food, relaxation and recreational activities for the attendees. Great appreciation, fun and enjoyment were had by those in attendance. The Baltimore Orioles played the Seattle Mariners and ultimately lost the game 8-4. A special “thank you” is hereby extended to our friends in the Lewes Fire Department (82) and the Gumboro Fire Company (79) for allowing the use of their vans.
