Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS

On Sunday afternoon, July 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Gooseneck Street in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and the Delaware State Police.

It appears that a gray Pontiac G6 Sedan and a Buick Rendezvous type vehicle collided. The Buick was attempting to turn and was struck from behind by the Pontiac. The occupants of the Buick did request additional medical observations.

Emergency crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization, scene assessment, and pedestrian and traffic control.

Ambulances from the Millsboro Fire Company (83) and the Dagsboro Fire Company (73) were utilized to transport the patients to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
