Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS

Location: Oak Orchard Road ITAO River Village

Address: 27198 Caravel Dr., Millsboro

On Monday, July 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Oak Orchard Road in the vicinity of River Village. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response apparatus included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It appears that a red Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling on Oak Orchard Road and hit the left rear of a dark blue Toyota pick-up that was on the southbound shoulder of the roadway. The collision did cause significant damage to both vehicles.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization; patient stabilization, where needed; scene preservation; and traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.

Oak Orchard Crash Leaves 2 Vehicles with Significant Damage

Delaware State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Oak Orchard Monday morning.

Firemen from Indian River got the call about the crash on Oak Orchard Road near River Village just after 8 a.m.; a Pontiac Grand Prix traveling on Oak Orchard Road apparently hit the left rear of a Toyota pickup that was sitting on the southbound shoulder; the collision caused significant damage to both vehicles.

No word on injuries.
