Nature: Indian River Sells Brush 80-00 to Preston Volunteer Fire Department - Preston, MI

Apparatus Sold – Brush 80-00!

The Indian River VFC is pleased to announce that the Brush Truck has been sold.  The sale was necessitated with declining brush and wood fire incidents as well as Indian River’s pursuit of upgrading its existing apparatus to better serve our community and to address the current staffing levels of the volunteer fire service.

This Brush Truck is a 1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty 4-door crew cab, with a 7.5 diesel engine, automatic transmission, fiberglass body, 250 GPM pump with a separate engine, and a 200-gallon tank. It carries 1 3/4 inch and forestry handlines as well as 3-inch supply hose. It has a 10,000 lb. front mounted winch. It was AED equipped.

This vehicle was advertised for sale in December 2019 and sold to the Preston Volunteer Fire Department from Preston, Missouri with delivery in March 2021.

Representatives from Indian River (Hayden Klingler, Steven Deery, and Colin Zwiebel) provided an operational overview for the Preston Volunteer Fire Department prior to their designated departure time.

Brush 80-00 was transferred to the Preston Volunteer Fire Department in Preston, Missouri on March 13, 2021.

Congratulations and thank you to the Preston VFD.

Indian River VFC extends best wishes and safe travels.
