Nature: Vehicle Accident ALS

Address: Long Neck Rd & White House Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Saturday morning, June 22nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of White House Road for vehicle accident involving a bicyclist.

Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility, Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit, as well as the local emergency medical services provider.

Emergency response assignments including scene preservation and mitigation; assist with patient care, if needed; and traffic control.

It appears that a bicyclist was traveling north on Long Neck Road and may have fallen off his bike. There was no damage to the bicycle and cyclist was transferred to nearby medical facility.

The Delaware State Police Aviation Unit was cancelled.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control measures along Long Neck Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
