Sunday May, 26 2013 @ 15:24:48 Nature: Wires Down/arching Address: 31470 River Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Sunday, May 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wires down situation as the result of passing motorist hauling a boat and boat trailer. It appears that the boat caught the low hanging electrical transmission wires causing a situation that tore the residential electrical services off of nearby residential structures. Emergency response units included: Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. Emergency response were assigned to evaluate the situation, obtain utility pole numerical and notify the electrical supply provider for corrective action. The respective electric company was notified and responded accordingly. The down electrical wires were neutralized and all responding apparatus was returned to their respective stations. |
