Nature: Outside Fire – Small Mulch Fire

Location: Stonewater Creek

On Sunday afternoon, April 28th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire in Stonewater Creek off of Indian Mission Road. It was reported to be a mulch fire.

Initial incident dispatched provided the aforementioned summary; however, other specific information yielded information that a single brush truck response would be acceptable to mitigate the incident.

Emergency incident response was limited to one brush truck from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crews were assigned to saturate the area of mulch to isolate the incident.
