Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm

On Saturday afternoon, January 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident at Giant Foods on Plaza Drive.  It was reported to be a water flow incident in Zone 1 of the facility.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facilities and Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments were to access the facility and identify the rationale for the alarm including evaluation of the system annunicator panel.  It was determined that the Store Management reset the alarm prior to arrival of the emergency response units.

All units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
