Nature: Outside Fire

Address: 27223 Clipper Dr., River Village, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, April 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire in River Village on Clipper Drive. It was reported to be an outside fire which may be uncontrolled.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-1 and Brush #80-00 from the Oak Orchard facility, Brush #80-0 from the Long Neck facility and Incident Command 80-10 from the Winding Creek area, as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Additional informational updates identified this incident to be a brush fire.

Engine #80-1 arrived on-scene identified a size up and orchestrated the front trash line to commence with fire suppression of an area of fire that has a suspicious origin. It was reported by witnesses that two younger males were scene departing the area.

All other responding apparatus were cancelled with responding to the incident.
