Nature: Outside Fire Complaint

On Monday, April 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside complaint fire in the vicinity of Layton Davis Road neighboring Warwick Park.

It was reported to be a loud explosion type sound and heavy fire visible from nearby residential structures.

This analysis yielded an illegal burn scenario for residential furniture and a strong odor of fuel was present in an uncontrolled environment near a group of residential properties.

The property owner was notified of the proper burning procedures and required extinguishment of the fire.

Emergency response unit included Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.
