Nature: Joint Training Sessions of Yester years (circa 1967)

Identified herewith is some archived newspaper documentation courtesy of Jim Bowden that highlights some of the joint training efforts of the Indian River and Millsboro volunteer fire companies and their efforts to complete fire school trainings in or around the 1967 time period.

This article highlights the fellowship and collaboration of both companies which attempting to gain valuable firefighter training skills and abilities.  As identified approximately twenty-eight volunteer firefighters completed the 12-week training curriculum; however, only 22 volunteers were photographed.

Many in the volunteer fire service are thankful for these firefighters during this era and building the foundation of our current organizations.
