Saturday February, 9 2013 @ 11:49:19 Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS Address: John J Williams Hwy & Arrow Head Trail, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday morning, February 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Arrowhead Trail near Indian Summer Village. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision. Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility. Emergency response crews were assigned to coordinate patient stabilization, if needed; vehicle stabilization; scene preservation; and traffic control measures for the duration of the incident. It appears that both vehicles were traveling eastbound on John J. Williams Highway when a gray Toyota Camry was struck from behind by a black Jeep Renegade causing significant damage to both vehicles and blocking the eastbound traffic flow. The Delaware State Fire Police were required to reduce traffic flow patterns to one lane for the duration of the incident. The local emergency medical services provider was required to evaluate the vehicle occupants. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
