Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: 31973 Amber Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday afternoon, September 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Amber Drive in the River Winds development off of Oak Orchard Road.  It was reported to be a single vehicle fire with exposures to a manufactured home.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-3 and 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included fire suppression and evaluation for extension into the manufactured home.  

It appears that a Ford F150 pick up caught fire for an undetermined reason causing significant damage to the vehicle and nearby manufactured home.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
