Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Pot Nets Bayside (80) Entranceway

Long Neck Rd and Pot Nets Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday afternoon, September 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in vicinity of the Pot Nets Road intersection.  It was reported to be a single into a tree and possibility of two patients.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as incident mitigation activities.

It appears that a Audi SUV left the roadway near the intersection of Long Neck Road and Pot Nets Road and struck a tree causing significant front-end damage to the vehicle. The local emergency medical service provider performed evaluations to the occupants of the vehicle which later refused transport.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and scene mitigation services for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
