Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 16 Lantern Lane Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

On Thursday evening, September 17^th, the Indian River (80), Rehoboth Beach (86) and Milton (85) volunteer fire companies were alerted to assist Lewes (82) Fire Department with a structure fire on 16 Lantern Lane in Colonial East Estates.

Emergency response units from Indian River were reassigned to provide for stand-by coverage.

It was reported to be a structure fire located within the walls of a single wide manufactured home.

Emergency response crews from Lewes and Rehoboth were able to quickly knock down the fire which resulted in some significant damage to the structure.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
