State of Delaware Recognizes Children for Fire Safety Efforts On Sunday, January 6th, the State of Delaware held their Annual Fire Prevention Poster and Essay Awards Program in Hartly, Delaware. The winners from each county were judged and statewide winners were announced. It is the pleasure of Indian River Volunteer Fire Company to recognize the efforts of 1st place Essay Winner Stephen Schofield from the Long Neck Elementary School. Representatives from each school and fire company were on hand to present the award recipients with their respective acknowledgement.
