Firefighter / Ladies Auxiliary Community Fellowship Day On Sunday, November 18th, the Oak Orchard Community Church hosted a Firefighter / Ladies Auxiliary Community Fellowship Day to acknowledge and thank the volunteerism of the men and women affiliated with the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. This fellowship and recognition event was developed to foster positive relationships amongst the community residents and the community volunteers that make these organizations viable entities in the community. Originally, this event was scheduled for Sunday, October 28th, but had to be cancelled and rescheduled due to the inclement weather affiliated with pending Hurricane Sandy. Rev. J. Allen Miller is pastor of the Oak Orchard Community Church and Chaplain of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and hosts this annual event to recognize the volunteers that serve their community. After the Sunday Church Service, the Oak Orchard Community Church hosted a luncheon for the volunteer fire company personnel.
