Nature: Multi Residential Fire

On Sunday evening, August 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for multi-residential fire in the 25800 block of River Bend Road.  It was reported to be a unit in the multi-residential structure filled with smoke.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Ladder 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility; Engines #80-1, #80-3 and Brush #80-00 from the Long Neck facility; Incident Command 80 from the Angola area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were requested to evaluate and identify the source of the issue and assist with ventilation. 

It appears that the residential apartment was filled with smoke as a result of an oven cleaning process.  The occupants of the structure were evacuated upon arrival of emergency response units.

The Delaware State Fire Police assist with traffic control and perimeter access for the duration of the incident.
