Wednesday October, 31 2012 @ 05:33:26 Nature: Residential Structure Fire Address: 3 Madaket Ct Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 On Wednesday morning, October 31, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Rehoboth Beach (86) and Lewes (82) with a working structure fire on Madaket Court off of Old Landing Road in Rehoboth Beach’s fire district. The initial reports identified this as a working structure with potential residential occupation at the time of the incident. Multiple emergency medical service (EMS) units (Sussex County Paramedics) were required at the incident which necessitated the four occupants of the residence to be transported to nearby medical facilities with priority one injuries. Ambulance services were provided by Rehoboth Beach (82), Lewes (82), and Milton (85) fire companies. Additional resources for cover up assignments were requested from neighboring companies including Millsboro (83) fire company. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office in investigating. Firefighters from Rehoboth Beach, Lewes and Indian River responded to the blaze at 3 Madaket Court in the Villages of Old Landing about 5:30 a.m. Crews found a home well involved in flames.
