The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is monitoring the pending inclement weather conditions and preparing to staff both stations (Oak Orchard and Long Neck) during the storms period to ameliorate responses.

The early evening survey was conducted in Oak Orchard from Station #1 and pending reporting from Long Neck (Station #2). Illustrated are some photographs of the designated area in Oak Orchard…

* Oak Orchard @ River Road;

The following roads currently had standing water of sizable portions:

Delaware Avenue east of Oak Orchard;

Mercer Avenue;

Pearl Street;

Charles Street;

Riverview;

Cerise Lane; and

River Road in Riverdale area.

The next anticipated high tide is 9 a.m.

The conditions at 7 a. in Long Neck were:

Long Neck completely covered from Mariner's Cove to Pot Nets Coveside;

Massey's Landing Public Boat Ramp partially submerged;

Mariner's Cove and Pot Nets Coveside had many streets covered with moving tidal waters.
